Dr. Navid Abolahrar
Born in Tehran; graduated from Allameh Helli High School in Tehran and entered the General Medicine program at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran in 1371. I graduated in 1378 and began my military service and the compulsory service program for general physicians in Ilam Province. In 1383, I was accepted into the Anesthesiology specialty program at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (Dr. Shariati Hospital). In 1387, after achieving rank 9 in the Anesthesiology Specialty Board examination, I began my compulsory specialty service in Mazandaran Province, in the city of Savadkuh.
In 1389, due to my personal interest and the importance of helping patients suffering from various types of chronic pain, I took the entrance examination for the subspecialty fellowship in Pain Management at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. I completed this program under the supervision of the first professors trained in this field, who had learned the scientific and academic teaching and treatment of pain abroad. In Bahman 1388, alongside these professors, we founded the Asa Multidisciplinary Pain Clinic as the first and only multidisciplinary pain clinic in Iran, and we are honored to provide pain management services to all our fellow citizens from the most remote areas of Iran.
The Asa Multidisciplinary Pain Clinic was the first multidisciplinary pain clinic in Iran after the return of the first group of graduates of the pain management subspecialty program from abroad. It was established in 1388 with the participation of pain management subspecialists and specialists in sports medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and clinical psychology who were university faculty members, and it hopes to succeed in providing the best possible subspecialty pain management treatments to patients in need.
The treatment and rehabilitation services provided at the Asa Multidisciplinary Pain Clinic are as follows, each of which is performed for patients when necessary:
