🟡Parvaneh Mohammadkhani is a tenured professor, rank 22, and head of the Psychology Department at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences. She completed her doctorate at Allameh Tabataba'i University, focusing on child abuse as a risk factor for psychopathology, as well as phenomena affecting parents' mental health and quality of life. She adopted a transdiagnostic perspective in psychopathology and focused on integrative therapies that look beyond diagnostic categories and consider the underlying factors of psychopathology. For this reason, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in psychopathology and psychotherapy at the University of Calgary, Canada-Alberta, in that university's Department of Psychology, under Professor Keith Stefan Dobson )a professor at the University of Calgary, Canada, former president of the Canadian Psychological Association, and president of the International Association for Cognitive Psychotherapy and the Academy of Cognitive Therapy(. Subsequently, in a large randomized clinical trial conducted as a joint project with the University of Calgary, Canada, and in collaboration with Professor Keith Stefan Dobson, she compared and tested the effectiveness of a novel cognitive behavioral treatment based on relapse prevention for depression (which was a challenge in depression treatment at that time), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy for depression, and treatment as usual in 353 depressed participants with recurrent relapses, particularly maintaining a transdiagnostic perspective and emphasizing transdiagnostic risk factors such as rumination and experiential avoidance. The results were presented at the 2007 and 2008 international cognitive behavioral congresses in Spain and Italy and were also published in articles derived from this project. In addition, between 2003-2007, she completed advanced courses in cognitive behavioral therapies and undertook clinical internship and practice under Professor Dobson's supervision. Her other professional academic activities include membership on the board of directors of the Iranian Psychological Association; responsibility for the Association's Education and Research Committee; membership in the International Association for Developmental Psychology; membership in the Global Consortium on Family Violence at the University of New Hampshire, USA; membership on the International Jury Council of the World Congress of Cognitive Behavioral Therapies-Lima-Peru; membership on national councils for personal safety and family violence; part-time membership in research centers for addiction and substance abuse and social welfare; membership on the editorial boards of several scientific research journals; and serving as editor-in-chief of the Salmand scientific research journal and editor-in-chief of the English-language Iranian Journal of Clinical Psychology.
