Dr. Hamid Ghaderi was born in 1356 in Tehran. After completing primary and middle school, he entered Alborz High School. In 1371–1372, while in the third year of high school, he won the gold medal (first place) in the Tehran Province scientific competition. In 1373, he graduated from Alborz High School in experimental sciences with a GPA of 19.41 and was admitted to the University of Tehran's medical program with a nationwide entrance-exam rank of 57. After 7 years, in Farvardin 1381, he received his professional doctorate from Tehran University of Medical Sciences with a GPA of 17.21. He subsequently completed his compulsory military service in the Army Ground Forces in the operational areas of Dasht Abbas and Abu Ghریب in Khuzestan Province. In 1385, he was admitted to the general surgery program at the University of Tehran with a rank of 27, as the top-ranked candidate. At Tehran's Imam Khomeini Hospital, he spent 4 years engaged in intensive study, scientific and research activities, and the writing of scientific articles and books. In 1389, he obtained his specialist qualification in surgery (general surgery) and simultaneously received his surgical board certification. In 1391, his specialty thesis received a commendation in the 15th Student Thesis of the Year competition in the medical and veterinary sciences category for the thesis completed during his specialist training. That same year, Dr. Ghaderi began working as a surgeon in Zanjan Province at two hospitals: Razi Hospital in Mahneshan and the Emergency Hospital in Abhar. During 1389–1391, in addition to working as a surgeon, he served as the scientific supervisor of the inpatient department at Razi Hospital in Mahneshan, the scientific supervisor of the emergency department, and the hospital's representative on the Steering Committee for the Advancement of Emergency Services Quality in Zanjan. Due to his strong interest in cardiac surgery, he entered the cardiac surgery subspecialty program in 1391 and continued his studies at Shahid Beheshti University, at Shahid Modarres Cardiovascular Center Hospital in Tehran. He successfully completed the program in 1394 and obtained his subspecialty qualification in cardiovascular surgery. In light of his scientific, educational, research, and clinical activities, that same year he began working as a cardiac surgeon at Shahid Chamran Subspecialty Heart Hospital affiliated with Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. At that center, in addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Ghaderi served as the cardiac surgery group's representative in the hospital's Deputy for Treatment and as the cardiac surgery group's representative in the hospital's documentation group. Dr. Hamid Ghaderi has been active in research since his student years. In recent years, his research activities have accelerated, resulting to date in more than 19 book titles, more than 16 articles in international journals, more than 10 articles in reputable domestic journals, and more than 15 presentations at international and domestic congresses and seminars.
