Dr. Gilda Givehchi was born in Tehran in 1354. In 1371, after successfully passing the nationwide entrance examination, she entered the medical program at Iran University of Medical Sciences. In 1377, as the university's top-ranked student, she took the residency entrance examination before graduating and was accepted into the Ear, Nose, and Throat program at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She completed the 4-year specialist training period at Amir Alam and Imam Khomeini Hospitals in Tehran and, in 1382, successfully obtained the specialized board certification in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery.
