When should you take seeking care more seriously?
If you are concerned about your child's overall condition, do not wait for symptoms to persist for a long time.
- Fever in a newborn — Fever in the first months of life should be assessed promptly; do not self-treat to determine the cause.
- Breathing difficulty or lethargy — Labored or rapid breathing, bluish discoloration, reduced alertness, or unusual lethargy require urgent assessment; in an emergency, call 115.
- Signs of dehydration — Take dry mouth, reduced urination, inability to drink, or repeated vomiting seriously.
